Liquid Skimming

Dirty liquid skimmer is a plate phase separation system that can statically separate two liquids with a density difference of more than 5%, such as the separation of cooling lubricating oil and hydraulic oil. Through the action of gravity (settling of the heavy phase) and coalescence force (convergence of droplets), the light-phase substances are carried to the surface of the liquid and then discharged as the skimmer operates. With the increasing requirements for the purity of industrial liquids, plate phase separation equipment is increasingly used in various fields, such as the separation of various oils from machine tool emulsions and sewage. Its operating cost is very low, the operation is simple and applicable widely. Advanced manufacturing companies (such as automotive, aerospace, energy, engineering machinery, and other manufacturing industries) widely use machine tools, flexible manufacturing units, flexible manufacturing systems, and rigid production lines to process products. Emulsions will be used in the process. Emulsions contaminated with grease need to be cleaned by oil skimmers to maintain the function of the emulsion and extend its service life. The dirty oil skimmer is connected by bypass, the oily emulsion in the filter is pumped into the skimmer, after the plate phase separation, de-oiled emulsion is pumped back to the filter and waste oil is discharged. The cycle is repeated to achieve purification of the emulsion in the filter.
