6-axis Grinding on Aero Blade

In the field of aero-engine manufacturing, the five-axis machining center has been widely used in the blade milling process. However, expensive milling tools and long-term point-contact milling restrict the effective implementation of the finishing milling process on blades. How to quickly complete the final precision machining of the blade to meet the requirements of precision tolerance and roughness required on the drawing and how to reduce the high consumption cost of the milling tool have become the manufacturing bottleneck of the high-temperature alloy blade of aero engine. Cooperated between IMM Germany and NUOSUN, the above problems are successfully solved through being equipped with grinding wheel and dressing unit on IMM's 6-axis belt grinding machine, and a complete machining of blade airfoil, leading and trailing edges, hub transition areas can be well machined in one clamping.
